Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, on being painted by Felicity Gill. "It captures the man's quizzical expression exactly... she has done him proud." ``We're starting to see a lot of younger artists and they really are bringing in new, edgier work'' said Leiper``People like to see how other people perceive them. '' Highlighting the move toward less conventional portraits, Leiper said, is the Johnson piece, which portrays the mayor seated in a deck chair holding a coffee cup, an image she described as ``angelic.'' Felicity has featured in Star portraits with Rolf Harris on BBC1.
Exhibitions Felicity has exhibited with The Royal Society of Portrait Painters at The Mall Galleries in London, where they showcased her Boris Johnson and Joan Bakewell portraits in 2007. Felicity regularly exhibits with The Seal Chart Etching Studio, Seal Chart Farm, Kent where she will also be exhibiting portraits and etchings for Open Studios 2009.
